The Orloff, one of the historic Hydra mansions, has been fully restored to an elegant and luxury boutique hotel in 1986. The aim of the owners, whose house has been in the family for more than a hundred years, was to share with guests the privilege of living in the timeless and exclusive atmosphere of an historic house. In a continuous effort to update the hotel to the latest standards, restoration takes place every year in winter time.

Genuine works of art, inspired by Hydra and coming from artists having lived on the island are hanged on the walls of each room and of the common areas.

Each one of the nine rooms and suites is individually designed to the smallest detail. Family antiques and rare objects blend with contemporary comforts in a continuous effort of renovation and with a constant search for authenticity.

The Orloff garden provides an enchanting collection of Mediterranean trees, plants and essences. It has inspired the owner to revive an old scent of the family and lead to the creation of the Orloff perfume.

Secluded by high walls covered with jasmine, wild roses and bougainvilleas, the garden offers complete privacy to the guests.

For all kind of events, guests can feel at home whether for a wedding celebration or a small scale incentive seminar. The secluded garden can be a source of inspiration as well for painters, writers or photographs wishing to enjoy its unique atmosphere, let not aside its rich varieties of Mediterranean plants that gave birth to our two Greek fragrances: George Orloff of Hydra and Eau de Neree.
