PIT-GRAVES FROM EAST PINDOS A number of bronze ornaments and vases were found in pit-graves (inhumation burials) of the village Spileo. Among them there are spectacle - fibulae and a vase belonging to the class known as Macedonian matt-painted pottery. In general, the findings dated not later than the 9th century B.C. are of particular interest because they can be related to findings in other adjacent areas like Epiros and west Macedonia. |
